Register your farm business – your way

January 4, 2023

Ontario farmers have options for registering their farm business – so they can do business their way.

Farmers can:

  • pay their Farm Business Registration invoice online at agricorp.com/fbr, at their bank, or by mailing a cheque
  • go paperless or have an invoice mailed to them

While Agricorp continues to offer all the traditional ways of doing business, paying online and going paperless is a simple and convenient option that is popular with many farmers.

What you can do at agricorp.com/fbr

More than 9,000 customers are using agricorp.com/fbr to register their farm businesses. By doing so, they can:

Choose email instead of paper mailings – All future payment reminders will then be sent by email. Those who sign up for paperless registration can still pay through their bank (online or in person).

Pay for their registration – Payments can be made by credit card. It's quick, easy, and secure, and means avoiding trips to the bank or post office.

Immediately get proof of registration – Get an email as proof of registration, which can be used to apply for farm licence plates.

Quickly update their information – Account information is at their fingertips, so they can confirm or update their farm information, all online.

About Farm Business Registration

All farm businesses in Ontario that gross $7,000 or more annually are required by law to register their farm business with Agricorp. The registration deadline for this year is March 1, 2023.

If a farm's gross farm income has dropped below $7,000, the land may still qualify for the Farm Property Class Tax Rate Program. To discuss eligibility, contact Agricorp.
