Reporting acres online a popular option

 May 10, 2023

When farmers finish planting their spring-seeded crops, those with Production Insurance coverage will need to report their planted acres to Agricorp. While Agricorp continues to offer all the other ways of doing business, reporting online is more and more popular with many farmers.

Online reporting is mobile friendly, compatible with most rural internet speeds, and there is no form to download. A simple report can be completed in around five minutes – any day, any time.

To report acres online, farmers can go to agricorp.com/acreage and follow the instructions.

Farmers can also report their planted acres by phone, email, fax, or mail. Farmers reporting partial acres need to call Agricorp.

Farmers can choose to do business their way, but they need to report their acres by June 30 for their crops to be eligible for Production Insurance.

Do more business online

Farmers can also use the website to complete other tasks, such as submitting a Year-end Report and Claim Form for AgriStability.

When customers complete their forms online, last year's information is pre-filled in many cases. Online forms can also be saved at any time, and farmers can pick up where they left off as needed. There are built-in checks that tell them if they missed anything or entered the wrong type of information.

By submitting forms online, there are no mailing hassles and no paper too. Farmers also get automatic confirmation when submitting online. Last year, 73% of year-end forms were submitted online.

To submit Year-end Report and Claim Forms, registered online users can sign in to agricorp.com. Those not yet registered can submit the form to Agricorp by mail or fax. They can also contact Agricorp to register for online services.

Report livestock sales too

Another task farmers can complete online is reporting sales for RMP for livestock. Reporting online allows customers to complete and submit their sales quickly, save a copy for their own records, and minimize the chance for errors. The deadline to report second-quarter and first semi-annual sales is July 31.

Anyone with questions about reporting can call Agricorp at 1 888 247-4999. We’re here to help.
