Ontario Grain Farmer August 2021

ONTARIO GRAIN FARMER 35 AUGUST 2021 We have taken these statistics and created a more focused strategy on the visitors we have coming to the Good in Every Grain website. This spring, we created new educational and interactive materials for Ontario teachers and parents to potentially attract a larger and wider audience to our site that is outside of the realm of agriculture. The end goal of attracting new audiences is that they will see the multitude of posts that we have and will learn about the goodness of Ontario grains. By creating content that is relevant and timely to the people we know are visiting our site we can help build public trust with our consumers. Some of our most recent material based at this demographic is outlined below. DRAW WITH ROB We partnered with the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum to bring Ontario educators ‘Draw with Rob. This is series of interactive FREE videos and related educator resources that use art to plant a lifelong awareness of local farming, food origins, and nutrition in the minds of elementary students. KIDS ASK THE BEST QUESTIONS We have launched a new feature blog on our website called ‘Kids ask the best questions’. Kids and students have curious minds, they want to know about everything! Good in Every Grain wants to help answer their questions about where their food comes from, and how Ontario grains are grown. Teachers and parents can submit questions from their students and children and we will provide an answer. CRAFTS We created a craft ‘Environmentally Friendly Craft — Let’s Make Bioplastics!’ that teaches kids the value of bio plastics and how Ontario grains can be used to help reduce waste. “ ” My Mom says the plants in our house make oxygen.
