Good in Every Grain 30 www.GoodinEveryGrain.ca GETTING THE FULL PICTURE OF AN ONTARIO GRAIN FARM In 2021, Good in Every Grain worked closely with Farm and Food Care Ontario and grain farmers across the province to bring to life a 360° virtual reality (VR) tour of an Ontario grain farm. This VR tour demonstrates to consumers the hard work that Ontario grain farmers put into planting, caring for, and harvesting Ontario grains. At Good in Every Grain, we know that 65 per cent of the food produced in Ontario is consumed right here. The VR tour is one of the tactics Good in Every Grain used in 2021 to help build trust with Ontario consumers. In addition to highlighting the work that goes into producing highquality, safe products for consumers, the VR tour is accompanied by four exciting videos that will help consumers learn more about Ontario grain farming. These four videos aim to increase transparency with consumers about the topics that surround Ontario grain farming. Topics include: learning about a day in the life of a grain farming family, how healthy soils are essential to grow healthy grains, what crop protection is on a grain farm, and one video solely devoted to answering popular and common questions we get about grain farms. Showing more aspects of a grain farm to consumers will help increase their trust in Ontario grains and the hard-working individuals that produce these grains.
