Sollio — one of Canada’s largest agricultural co-operatives — announced plans in 2022 to sell its six grain handling facilities in the region to focus on its agricultural input business. The facilities include the Shetland Road elevator at Florence, the Talbotville elevator at St. Thomas, the Becher elevator at Wallaceburg, the former Palmerston Grain elevator at Palmerston, and the elevators at Princeton and Staples.
