SPRING CULINARY INFLUENCER TOUR AND DINNER This spring, Good in Every Grain invited 14 culinary influencers from the greater Toronto area to join us on a farm tour and dining experience in Dufferin County. Attendees toured Grain Farmers of Ontario District 11 director (Dufferin, Simcoe, Halton, Peel, York) Leo Blydrop’s farm in Amaranth Township to see spring on a grain farm before heading to Goodlot Brewery in Caledon for a four-course, grain-based dining experience provided by Chefs Canada’s Bocuse d’Or national culinary team led by Chef Keith Pears. “Bringing guests onto a farm for a tour with a grain farmer and then hosting a high-class culinary experience that showcased our grains was a great way to connect consumers and farmers, building trust and showcasing Ontario grains in really innovative ways, explains Crosby Devitt, CEO, Grain Farmers of Ontario. “Culinary influencers speak the language of food to their digital audiences, and it was an excellent opportunity to show them where grains come from, the people that produce them, and the amazing ways they can be used in meals. This event really allows Grain Farmers of Ontario and grains to be top of mind when these people are speaking to consumers and creating new content.” he continues.
