Every year, Good in Every Grain works to strengthen consumer trust in Ontario’s grains by telling the real stories of Ontario farmers. The FarmFood360 project builds on that commitment with innovative technology that connects people to farming in a format that resonates with today’s audiences. The virtual reality format is more than just a new tool—it’s an innovative way to bring farming to life for people who may never set foot on a farm. Whether at home on their phones or at events across Ontario, consumers can engage with the realities of grain production in a way that is accessible, educational, and engaging. NEW FARMFOOD360 PROJECT This fall, Good in Every Grain is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new FarmFood360 project—this time, with a focus on Ontario-grown grain corn. Developed in partnership with Farm & Food Care Ontario, the new 360-degree virtual reality tour will debut at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in November and will also be available on www.FarmFood360.com and www.GoodinEveryGrain.ca for audiences across the province. The feature highlights the VanQuaethem family farm and brings the full story of grain corn production directly to consumer audiences. Using immersive 360-degree video, viewers can step into the field during spring planting, experience the sights and sounds of summer crop care, and ride along in the equipment during fall harvest. The technology allows audiences to see farming from the farmer’s perspective, helping to bridge the gap between rural practices and urban curiosity. The FarmFood360 partnership also features four additional videos about the VanQuaethem family, their farm, and topics including spraying and road safety. Many consumers have misconceptions about sprayers and pesticide use—what they are, how they work, and why they are used. Through this new tour, audiences can learn how spraying protects crops, ensures plant health, and contributes to the production of safe, high-quality food. It also gives Ontario farmers the opportunity to address common concerns regarding pesticides, timing, and application, while demonstrating the responsible management practices employed on their farms. The grain corn FarmFood360 project also addresses road safety. As more urban and suburban drivers encounter farm equipment on rural roads, this project serves as an important reminder of how to share the road safely with large, slow-moving machinery.
