ONTARIO GRAIN FARMER 30 THE GRAIN DISCOVERY ZONE EXPERIENCE The arrival of summer means it’s time for Grain Farmers of Ontario’s interactive exhibit, the Grain Discovery Zone, to visit fairs and events across the province. The Grain Discovery Zone appears at events and fairs in summer and fall, offering interactive activities like a corn box and grain samples to introduce the public to grain farming. Accompanied by a dedicated ambassador, the mobile exhibit delivers an engaging educational experience while welcoming questions from the public. It provides an avenue for two-way conversation and to share information about grain farming with Ontario families. Event visitors can create lasting memories while discovering the importance of grains. The hands-on activities and educational displays allow attendees to connect with the process of growing grains, gaining a greater appreciation for the food they eat and the dedicated farmers who produce it. This interactive experience bridges the gap between agriculture and the community, making the journey from field to table both meaningful and memorable. Whether it is by learning all the different everyday products grains go into, or touching a new grain they’ve never seen before, the display invites families to think about how grain farming plays a role in their lives.
