Remote Display Access
John Deere recently announced Remote Display Access for its GreenStarTM 3 2630. It’s a system that gives farmers the ability to remotely supervise their field operations and allows dealers to view the operator’s display screen –if they’re given permission to do so. The goal is to improve machine up-time. The system will allow dealers to trouble shoot issues, and guide operators with step-by-step instructions to implement a solution. This will save service techs from unnecessary trips to the field, and increase the productivity of the equipment. Displays from multiple machines can be viewed at the same time.
Remote Display Access is a JDLink subscription service that also requires the GreenStarTM 3 2630 display, JDLink Modular Telematics Gateway (MTG) hardware with the latest updates, and an ethernet cable to connect the display to the MTG.

John Deere is trying to help farmers cope with all of the digital information available for their products and services through a new website, MyJohnDeere.com. Users can manage equipment information, production data, and farm operations from this one website which is accessible from any desktop computer or other internet enabled device such as a smartphone or tablet. The website also allows you to share information with your dealer, crop advisor, or banker. Farmers already using the JDLink system can access this website with the same login and password. •
